Modern, open plan living shows off the detail of this simple zigzag staircase to great effect. This is a deceptively simple zigzag staircase design made of steel. The sides of each tread were laser cut from 15mm steel plate and then top and underside of each tread was fully plated with steel before being powder coated. The single structural stringer is embedded in the wall creating a cantilver staircase that appears to float and leaving the steel treads and uprights exposed as a zigzag behind the 15mm toughened glass balustrade affixed with stainless steel bosses.
