ADVANTAGES OF ISOTEC XL
ISOTEC, the system which has represented a turn in the construction typology of roofing, evolves, with the addition of new performance features: as of today the new ISOTEC XL is available.
The advantages of microventilation have by now been confirmed by experience, as well as via calculations and laboratory tests: the same experimentation system also demonstrated the possibility of further increasing the convection currents in the under-tile area, thus increasing the performance of the system itself. In particular, with a greater ventilation area the ventilating flow from the gutter to the peak guarantees a greater performance with regard to the disposal of any water vapour accumulated in the roofing, ensuring that the covering is time-resistant. This aspect is also explicitly required by the producers of brick or cement tiles in Northern Europe, citing the German norm DIN 4108-3:2001 or UNI 9460:2008. Also in the summer period the increased ventilation contributes to increasing the thermal performance of the roofing, reducing the probability of overheating.
THE EVOLUTION OF ISOTEC
The new Isotec XL panel is created in expanded rigid polyurethane foam which allows for a high level of thermal resistance; as well as the integrated steel joist, coated in aluminium-zinc alloy at a height of 4 cm, has a profile designed to guarantee ventilation of more than 200 cm2/m of a section of air in the gutter lines.
The evolution is not limited to the increase in the ventilation chamber but, thanks again to the new profile, box-shaped, it maintains the tiles perfectly and allows for maximum levels of walkability, even on very high pitched roofs.
