Description

The concept of the collection of bookcases arises from the idea that books can be arranged horizontally on top of each other, forming a pile. In contemporary homes, useful space is increasingly less and it is necessary to make intensive and rational use of the available square metres. Stacking books on top of each other significantly reduces the overall space required at floor level, making optimum use of height instead. In this model, the metal frame of the bookcase is concealed thanks to two details: the single load-bearing column remains hidden behind the books, whereas individual shelves are so narrow (2 mm thick) that they are not even noticeable. The freely configurable arrangement of the shelves in 3 different positions, and in the same number of sizes, offers a dynamic overall effect, almost of instability, with books that appear to be suspended in space. This model is designed to accommodate a LED technical lighting kit, available on request, which allows the bookcase to be transformed into a lamp with indirect lighting projected towards the rear or the ceiling. Epoxy lacquered sheet metal bookcase, comprising an upright with a rectangular cross-section 100x35 mm, with three offset cantilever shelves in different sizes. Multiple elements can be arranged using two separate connecting shelves. The bookcase is available in three different heights: H. 95 cm (5 shelves), H. 150 cm (9 shelves) H. 200 cm (12 shelves).
