The medallion chair presented here is a creation by Mrs Balcaen who revisited the classic style model giving it a more contemporary design by covering the backrest and seat with a slender coat of mail over the light plain fabric. Although being quite medieval the mail brings modernity so as to convert a rather standard Louis XVI piece into a remarkably aesthetic work of art which nonetheless still preserves its inherent functionality and comfort.
