The Nitra series owes its name to the Slovak city of Nitra, where the first Christian church in Central and Eastern Europe was built. In ancient times, religious buildings were genuine temples, housing works of art and décor made of marble: a fine material synonymous with elegance, luxury and distinction. Throughout history, great artists used it to sculpt works of art that have survived through until today like the Venus de Milo in the Louvre or the Courtyard of the Lions in Granada's Alhambra Palace. Today, marble-effect ceramic tiles have seen a boom in popularity, and buildings like the Prado Museum in Madrid or the Oceanographic Centre in Valencia use it as a covering, thus combining the visual appeal of marble with the functionality and technical performance of ceramic tiles.
Nitra has been created using digital ink-jet printing technology, achieving a perfect sense of realism and unique tiles with no two identical patterns. The series' glossy finish, natural colours, and finely veined design transmit a sensation of perfection, harmony and sophistication for settings with a certain classic touch and modern ones too, thanks to its wide range of décors and colours.
Living spaces can once again be transformed into places of luxury and beauty.
