Lime stucco is the culmination of centuries of tradition, the highest technical and artistic sophistication of which was achieved in the Renaissance era. The beauty and architectural elegance of the Renaissance palaces were finished off with all kinds of stuccoes and lime mortars.
Restigioso Lime stucco made with the noblest raw materials: Grassello (Calcium Hydroxide) long-standing of maximum purity, marble dust, resins and special additives.
It is presented in containers of 5 Kg and 20 Kg. (For 6 m2 and 25 m2 respectively).
With Natural Stucco, high-gloss mirror polished finishes are achieved.
Thanks to our lime-compatible coloring additives, tones of great intensity and beauty are achieved.
The lime also provides beautiful whitish veils that are superimposed on the color contrasts of the third-hand spatula, creating a beautiful mosaic that imitates marble.
Characteristics of lime stucco:
It contains calcium hydroxide (slaked lime or grassello), so its PH is 12 to 13.
Thixotropic rheology. It fluidizes when shear stress is applied, and it takes time to regain original viscosity (up to 24 h).
Its resin content is low, generally less than 5%. (more "ecological" product or with more natural raw materials).
Its thixotropic nature avoids scratching the lumps, and allows smoothing without the need to sand between coats.
Intense natural shine, but requires to be obtained "fresh" (immediately).
It becomes harder over time.
Natural antimicrobial due to its high PH.
