Single APG K-Horn™ acoustic load 1 x 18" Neodymium cone driver (4" voice coil) The TB118S combines high acoustic performance with highly user-orientated ergonomics. It is characterized by its capacity to produce extraordinarily high sound pressure levels with accurate sound reproduction, precision and warmth. The TB118S subwoofer is equipped with a convection-cooled neodymium 18" woofer loaded by a low pass type double interactive chamber. This helps distribute and limit load volume in order to obtain excellent size/acoustic power ratio. This unique load combination (double chamber & K-horn) results in an additional 4 dB gain in the usable bandwidth compared to conventional direct radiation subwoofers. The dual interactive load offers an excellent control over the diaphragm displacement which increases the mechanical reliability and reduces the harmonic distortion, compared to conventional direct radiating subwoofers. Its clever design enables all type of handling by only one person. The compactness of the TB118S makes it suitable for fixed installations where space is at a premium, while the ease of handling will be appreciated by touring companies. The TB118S subwoofer is mainly to offer exceptional energy and musicality in the low frequency bandwidth. The format of the TB118S is perfectly suited to creating network sources and managing low frequency directivity such as cardioid configurations, line source configurations, arc configurations, etc. APG supplies presets and parameters for all afore-mentioned configurations.
