2-way, mono amp 1 x 13 cm ferrite (1.5") 1 x dome tweeter (1") iX5W White version The iX5 is an ultra-compact cube speaker intended for interior fixed installation. It features coaxial technology applied to an optimal 13 cm / tweeter arrangement close to the theoretical point source: the high and low frequency transducers are perfectly aligned physically for delivering perfectly linear frequency and phase response. As with the other iX series speakers, the integral baffle is designed to eliminate diffraction and provide a consistent, linear acoustic field. Acoustic feedback is therefore significantly increased even at close range. The sleek design of the iX5 makes it suited to all architectural styles. It can be placed on surfaces, mounted on a microphone stand, or wall- or ceiling- mounted using the optional accessories. Model iX5W is the white version and iX5COL refers to a version available in specific RAL colours. With its very wide sound dispersion angle (100° up to and above 10 KHz), the iX5 offers extensive sound coverage from fewer speakers. In stand-alone mode, possibly without a processor, the iX5 is suitable for conference type voice reproduction, background music and add-on sound (acoustic dispersion / acoustic opening / acoustic field). Combined with subwoofer, the iX5 can be used to create effective systems for installation in private premises (hotels, restaurants, home cinema) or public buildings (museums, commercial premises, multimedia rooms). The iX5’s exceptional acoustic linearity makes it an ideal speaker for spatial sound (immersive sound) applications. For bass reinforcement, APG recommends subwoofers SB112 and SB115.
