The MB-SR50N is a mullion and transom system intended for the construction of lightweight suspended and infill curtain walls, glazed roofs, skylights and other spatial structures. The design is rooted in the Cradle to Cradle Certification® guidelines corresponding to the requirements for sustainable development and the circular economy concept. It has been optimised in terms of the profiles, profile durability and accessories and it features solutions which simplify on-site installation. It provides a construction width of 50 mm and the advantages of ALUPROF’s other mullion and transom systems, which frequently offer greater deign possibilities and better technological performance. Curtain walls produced using this system are covered by the harmonised EN 13830:2005 (PN-EN 13830:2005) European standard.
The MB-MT50N is available in two thermal versions fitted with innovative insulators. The standard version features an ABS/TPE insulator and the SI version is equipped with a PET/PE insulator, which makes it possible to obtain a very low thermal transmission for the façade. The minimum Uf value of 0.55 W/(m2K) is testimony to the fact that the MB-MT50N meets the certification requirements of the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt. One of the structure’s most distinctive features is the additional section under the gasket site in the mullion profiles and the two series of mullion profiles, which provide the potential for using what is known as two-row transoms. This means that the system provides designers with plenty of freedom, making it possible to create façades with complex structures, while the efficient cascade drainage system guarantees their problem-free use.
