Architectural acoustics - Morse
MORSE is a concept of acoustic optimization and lighting combined in a pendant or ceiling installation. The vertical arrangement of the flocked Basotect panels is ideally suited for installation above conversation areas such as conference tables and lounges, as well as above circulation zones. With its large total surface area of sound absorbing material each fixture delivers a significant contribution to the acoustic comfort. One of the panels has an elegant integrated light unit giving a soft but functional downlight effect. The two fixture types, with three or four panels, can be combined in various numbers and unique configurations to enable placement in different size spaces.
Thanks to the striking sculptural and well-balanced shape each configuration also contributes to the aesthetics and to the character of the room.
The rhythmic nature of the design is reminiscent of the well-known Morse code language, which can be written out as a seemingly random sequence of long and short signals.
